Apprentice Organizer Program

In the pursuit of building worker power in the Rochester-region, we know that many more working people need to belong to unions. If under 10% of private sector workers are unionized, the power that can be asserted in those industries is minimal. If we're going to create an economy that works for all of us, with livable wages, job security, safe jobs, decent retirement and health benefits and more then we need to organize.
The Rochester Labor Council would like to announce our 2024 Apprentice Organizer Program. This program will coordinate with interns, activists and volunteers to engage directly in building the local Labor movement. We will offer intensive organizer training and on-going support as we directly build unions in workplaces across the Rochester-region.
We will accept participants in this program on a rolling basis. However, we are also holding an introductory session on March 21st at 5:30pm at the headquarters of NYSUT at 30 Union Street.
You can RSVP for that introductory session here!
